Start playing.

A short guide to creating a server, choosing a compatible setup, joining the queue, and managing your world.

Create a server

  1. Register or sign in at the HenHosting panel.
  2. Choose Create server, then give the server a name.
  3. Select an available game version and software profile. The setup page shows the memory requirement before you submit.
  4. Accept the Minecraft EULA and start installation.

Setup begins automatically when shared host capacity is available. If the host is busy, your request stays in the start queue; its position is shown in your account.

Software and versions

Choose Vanilla for the unmodified game, Paper or Purpur for plugins, or Fabric and Forge for compatible mods. The panel only offers profiles currently enabled for the host. The available list can change as profiles are checked and added.

Memory includes Java and native container use. A profile may not be suitable for large modpacks or heavy plugin sets even when it installs successfully. Follow the compatibility note shown in the server wizard.

Start and join

Open your server in the panel and press Start. Follow the console until it reports that startup is complete. Copy the connection address shown in the server’s console or network page, then add it in Minecraft’s Multiplayer screen.

A first launch can take longer while the game prepares its world. If the server stops or reports an error, check the latest console output before trying again.

Manage your world

The panel provides console, file, player, backup, network, startup, and settings pages for your server. Stop the server before changing files that the game may be writing. Keep a separate copy of important worlds before major software or version changes.

Servers on the free tier stop after ten minutes without players. Stopping a server does not remove its world. Start it again from the panel when you want to play.

Plans and limits

The free server allowance is 500 MiB RAM, 1 GiB of world storage, and 10 player slots. Tested profiles can require more memory. Optional plans and current prices are listed in Billing after you sign in.

Server starts share available memory and CPU. If there is not enough safe capacity, a start waits rather than exceeding the host’s configured resource pool.
